Slice of Hope

Pizzerias across the country and a few international locations banded together Friday, October 11, 2013 for this year's Slice of Hope to benefit the Karen Mullen Breast Cancer Foundation. Not only did pizzeria operators donate a percentage of their sales and buy t-shirts, they created unique events and promotions in their communities. Explore 10 ways pizzerias got creative with Slice of Hope 2013:

1.  Pizza Transit in Niles, Michigan, turned its breadsticks into ribbons. What a delicious way to mark the occasion.

2.  Panepazzo Pizzeria in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, applied the ribbon idea to pizza with strategic pepperoni placement.

3.  The Greathouse of Pizza in Casey, Illinois, even reshaped its dough in the form of a ribbon.

4.  Park City Pizza Company in Utah threw a Princess Pizza Party to benefit breast cancer research.

5.  Romo's Pizza in Glenmont, New York, had face painting booth.

6.  Romo's Pizza's mascot also showed pink pride to passersby.

7.  Goodman's American Pie in Ludlow, Vermont, offered $5 rides in this monster truck to benefit
Slice of Hope.

8.  Speaking of...Paisano's Pizzeria in Ione, California, brought out this really cool golf cart turned
Conestoga wagon.

9.  The Hot Tomato in Fruito, Colorado, raffled off this awesome bike for breast cancer research.

10.  Fox's Pizza Den in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, pulled out its Christmas tree early this year, decorating it with pink ribbons and streamers.
